Prior to joining CRADLE, he worked at General Motors, Xerox PARC (Palo Alto Research Center), and several Silicon Valley startups where he has had roles in corporate investing, product management, and R&D.     Darton Ito has over 20 years of experience in transportation planning and policy. He currently leads the Office of Innovation for the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). The Office of Innovation builds relationships within San Francisco and with other cities, with communities and with companies to facilitate alignment between emerging mobility services and San Francisco’s goals for a safe, equitable and sustainable transportation system. He was previously a planner with the San Mateo County Transit District (SamTrans/Caltrain) and began his transportation planning career as an intern with AC Transit. He has a degree in Environmental Planning & Policy from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In his free time he is active in youth soccer and little league.

    Jaimie Levin is the Director, West Coast Operations for the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) located in Berkeley, California. CTE is an Atlanta-based NGO that develops and manages advanced technology transportation projects focusing on energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. Prior to joining CTE in 2016, Mr. Levin was the Director of Environmental Technology at AC Transit, where he was responsible for the Bay Area’s advanced fuel cell electric bus (FCEB) demonstration program (ZEBA – Zero Emission Bay Area). Mr. Levin holds a Masters of City Planning degree (MCP) from the University of California at Berkeley. He is CTE’s representative to the California Fuel Cell Partnership advocating for the commercialization of fuel cell technology. He also serves on the advisory boards of UC Berkeley’s Transportation Sustainability Research Center (TSRC) and the Schatz Energy Research Center (SERC) at Humboldt State University.

During his time at Morphosis Architects in Santa Monica, California and Kohn Pederson Fox in New York, Suh has actualized numerous design competitions and commercial projects. Suh then founded Suhdesign in 2004 in Los Angeles, CA and Suh Architects in Seoul, Korea in 2006. He has since completed a range of commercial, recreational, and residential projects, while also serving as consultant for various companies wishing to revision their corporate identities as well as retail facilities. Suh has been a visiting critic at various architecture schools such as RISD, USC, SCI-ARC, Hongik University, Yonsei University and Seoul National University.

    David’s passions are to design with purpose, connect with people, and inspire emotion. He graduated from the College for Creative Studies and has been an adjunct faculty member there for the last 11 years. He spent his early career with GM, ASC and then SALEEN, where he designed the S5S Raptor supercar and the S302 Mustang. David then jumped from sports cars to sports equipment when he joined Warrior Sports as Lead Helmet Designer. David’s desire for creative diversity led him to Sundberg-Ferar in 2013. As Manager of Design and Innovation Strategy, he guides teams through the creative process to identify the right user needs and find emotionally compelling solutions. David has partnered many times with Hyundai’s CRADLE division working on future mobility solutions such as the ELEVATE walking car concept debuted at the 2019 CES show. David is also the president of the Michigan Design Council, whose mission is to showcase the economic and social impact of industrial design and spread design awareness throughout the education community.

    KyungEn Kim is currently Design Principal at Suh Architects. She arrived at architecture via sculpture. As her installation work began to define inhabitable spaces, she attended the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, graduating with a Masters in Architecture. KyungEn has worked at CO Architects (formerly known as Anshen+Allen Los Angeles) in Los Angeles, and served as the creative director for a Korean children’s clothing company. Her experience as an educator includes teaching undergraduates Sculpture at RISD as well as teaching architecture studios at Seoul National and Yonsei University in Korea. She also serves on the boards of educational and cultural non-profit organizations in Seoul.

    Marilyn Golden is a disability rights activist, most notably in the area of transportation. In 2015 she was honored by the White House as a transportation "Champion of Change." Senior Policy Analyst at the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF), our nation’s foremost national law and policy center on disability civil rights, with offices in Berkeley, California and Washington, D.C.She has been closely involved with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) throughout all the stages of its proposal and passage and now during its implementation.Ms. Golden has continued to play a key role in policy development on a federal level in the areas of transportation and architectural barriers, as a strong and effective advocate for people with disabilities. She was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the U.S. Access Board in 1996, serving until 2005. She was recognized as a White House Champion of Change in Transportation by President Barack Obama in 2014. And she’s been a member of three federal policy advisory committees: the Rail Vehicle Accessibility Advisory Committee (U.S. Access Board, 2013-2015), the ADAAG (Americans with Disabilities Act Architectural Guidelines) Review Advisory Committee (U.S. Access Board, 1994 – 1996), and the Urban Mass Transportation Administration’s ADA Federal Advisory Committee to assist in developing the DOT ADA regulation (U.S. Department of Transportation, 1991).She served as Project Manager for a Federal Transit Administration (FTA) 2015 research study, Accessible Transit Services for All, which identified practices that have reduced ADA paratransit costs, improved efficiency, and increased the mobility of people with disabilities.She was the principal author of the Topic Guides on ADA Transportation, also for FTA and published in 2010, as well as other transportation studies.Her involvement in international disability rights has continued since the ADA’s passage. She has been called upon to share her knowledge with audiences in South Africa, Germany, Austria, New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland, Spain, Costa Rica, the European Union, and at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing, China.

    Susan Henderson joined Disability Rights Education & Defense Fund (DREDF) in 1997, and became its executive director in 2008. At DREDF she expanded the family advocacy program to protect the rights of disabled children in the child welfare system and launched the Disability & Media Alliance Project (D-MAP) to change sensational, cloying and misinformed disability coverage that undermines the public policy and legal advances of the last 35 years, to coverage that raises public awareness and helps to end disability discrimination. In 2015, she co-authored on behalf of the National Council on Disability, “Self-Driving Cars: Mapping Access to a Technology Revolution,” which examines the benefits and challenges that autonomous vehicles hold for disabled people.
